That’s where a device like the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Band 6 comes into play. It retails for around $60 (though it was $35 when it was first released in other regions) and comes with many of the same features you’d expect to see on a far more expensive device.
Now, about a month after its announcement, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 is finally available for preorder in the United States.
If the report ends up being true, then OnePlus could fall right in line with the features offered by the Xiaomi Mi Band 5. That means it’ll have an AMOLED display (though it’ll be quite small, of course).
Should the watch come to fruition, it will also come with a battery life capable of surviving multiple days of intense fitness tracking (or days of monitoring you as you wander around your home).
As you might expect, the fitness tracker will feature water resistance to survive all that sweat from intense workouts (or whatever else you’re doing to work up a sweat while wearing it). Unfortiuanly, the leak didn’t get specific regarding IP ratings, but we’d expect OnePlus to offer a solid resistance even at this price.
Where to Preorder the Xiaomi Mi Band 6
While Xiaomi smartphones are almost impossible to find in the United States, Xiaomi doesn’t have any issue getting its wearable devices out within US borders.
Walmart is offering a much better deal on the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, though. You can preorder it for $54.99, and it’s listed as scheduled to ship on May 6. Not only is it $5 cheaper, but you’ll get it quite a bit sooner if you choose to order through Walmart.
As of this writing, those are the only two US retailers we’ve seen the fitness tracking for sale, but more places may start carrying it shortly. Either way, the device is coming fairly soon, so you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on one.
Is The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 Worth Buying?
As far as features go, the Mi Band 6 is pretty loaded for the price. It has a 1.56-inch AMOLED touch screen that looks quite good.
Unlike most smartwatches that require frequent charges, it has a ridiculous battery life of up to two weeks.
It even has some high-end features such as a SpO2 Sensor and 24-hour heart rate monitoring, which are features that usually require you to throw down a lot more cash.
