Rather than playing as the beloved hero Geralt of Rivia, gamers will be filling the spot of a Witcher from before his time. The mobile spinoff is confirmed to be set before the books or games, ensuring that Geralt was not yet traveling throughout The Continent. This explains all the monsters, as the Witchers had not yet begun to lower their numbers. With monster hunting being a relatively new profession at the time of The Witcher: Monster Slayer, players should have a lot of fun playing the role of a Witcher.
Apart from the announcement of the game’s release date, the new trailer for The Witcher: Monster Slayer does not reveal much. Several intimidating monsters can be seen growling on screen, something that should get mobile gamers more invested in the hunt. Behind the terrifying creatures, several backdrops can be seen changing, ranging from a hilly landscape to a city. Showing that the game can be played anywhere, this is a nice touch on the part of Spokko.
