The latest creative offering comes from Kazaki who drew what Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher series would like like if brought into the Cyberpunk 2077 world. Sporting the familiar futuristic jacket from the main character, Geralt also retains some familiar Witcher markings including his School of the Wolf medallion on the pistol and jacket. Kazaki also includes a short backstory on this scene in general, giving the piece even more life.
While this art isn’t official, it’s certainly well done. It’s also not the first time the community has attempted to link the worlds of The Witcher and Cyberpunk. Last year, a fan took the E3 2018 cinematic trailer and added specific voice lines from Geralt’s adopted daughter Ciri to narrate it. The chosen lines came from a very specific conversation between the two characters and it shockingly syncs up extremely well to what is in the trailer.
While the community exploded with theories, Cyberpunk 2077’s game director Adam Badowski quickly shut it down when asked if Ciri would make an appearance or be featured at all in the upcoming game. In fact, Badowski didn’t just say no, but went as far as to say he hated the idea. He made it clear that CD Projekt RED wasn’t making a Kingdom Hearts game where multiple universes connected and that he’s firmly against the idea of intertwining both the Witcher and Cyberpunk even if there are some at the studio who are in favor.
Cyberpunk 2077 is without a release date but currently in confirmed development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
