Morgan is a decorated actor who has had roles in many different projects, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Rampage, Supernatural, and The Unholy. Obviously, the actor’s most iconic role is the infamous and fan-favorite Negan from The Walking Dead television series. Morgan was able to bring the wisecracking bat-wielding nemesis to life on the small screen.

Morgan went on to discuss the idea of what a Negan spin-off show would entail and what he would like to see for the character in the future. After all, the end of The Walking Dead doesn’t necessarily mean the end of Negan, nor does it mean that the character will survive (as the creators have often diverted from the book’s storyline). The actor went on to say to TVLine, “There’ve been things discussed with me and network people." Of course, Morgan also made it clear that the future isn’t guaranteed, saying, “We’ll see. I mean, Negan could still find his way six feet under [before Season 11 concludes], so that could be a problem unless it’s a prequel.”
Morgan still believes there are still stories to be told with Negan. If a spin-off were to happen, then there’s plenty of opportunities to explore more with the Walking Dead character. Morgan finally said, “I’m certainly not opposed to keeping him alive for a bit longer and finding out more about him.” Hopefully, this would give the character a proper ending to satisfy fans of the franchise, both old and new.
The creative team behind the Walking Dead franchise still has its hands full with the impending Rick Grimes spin-off movie that was teased a while back. If they can tie in both characters somehow, then they may have a chance at doing something unique with the story that the comics haven’t done.
The Walking Dead airs on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. on AMC.
