The game, called Gwent, is a 1v1 collectible card game similar to Magic: The Gathering. Players can purchase and win cards for Gwent as they progress through Witcher 3, then use those cards to take on other Gwent players in the game....

The wildfires nationwide have now burned more than 5 million acres, and first-responders are stretched thin. Most of the fires in Oregon have not been contained, despite the deployment of more than 5,600 firefighters. The Mail Tribune pointed out that while the Oregon National Guard does have other aircraft, the Chinooks are “normally the largest firefighting helicopter.” The utility of the Chinook was also highlighted by the Associated Press, which recounted a harrowing evacuation effort during poor visibility....

Of course, it would be impossible to talk about the greatness of this title without mentioning the characters that added so much life to the overall experience. Recurring characters definitely make their mark in this game, but one can’t fail to mention the two new additions to the series who play a major role in the books — Yennefer and Ciri. Both characters completely enthrall fans with their performances whenever they’re on the screen....

GameSpot reports that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition has had its price cut in half and is currently going for $25 until midnight tonight, as a part of Best Buy’s current “Deal of the Day” collection of items. The Complete Edition includes the main game, plus both DLC expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, as well as 16 smaller bits of add-on DLC. The deal goes for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, but not PC, for reasons unknown....

Ranging from in-game items to characters and everything in between, the game had plenty that was left out sometime in its development. Fans have discovered some interesting missions that were left out of the final build. These cut missions suggest that White Orchard was supposed to have a ton more content than it finally did....

Despite reports of technical issues on PC, the long-awaited next-gen update was generally well-received, driving a surge of interest and players to The Witcher 3. Many believed that CD Projekt Red had gone above and beyond for the free patch, which included not only the obligatory performance and ray-tracing options but an alternative way to cast Signs, an additional camera angle, and a brand-new quest inspired by the Netflix show....

The appeal of the original Wonderful 101 came from a mix of colorful, creative environments, and unique gameplay. All the action and flare people have come to expect from Platinum was condensed into a simultaneously small and large environment that saw heroes combine into huge shapes to destroy robots and aliens. The game was largely held back by being released on the Wii U, with touch-screen controls that were awkward at best....

The anime will blend 2D and 3D animation with an art style true to Tetsuya Nomura and Gen Kobayashi’s original artwork. Animation is being handled by Shin-Ei Animation, the studio responsible for the Doraemon anime franchise, and Domerica, a 3D animation studio that previously worked on the CG animation in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. Several members of the original TWEWY’s development team are also assisting with the project....

The sequel to this game, Neo: The World Ends With You is set for release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on July 27th. As this next entry in the series is now 14 years past the release of the original and its ports, many players have missed out on this story. It’s all good though, because while Square Enix may have dragged its feet in getting around to making this game they’re doing so now in style....
