According to Patch 1.20’s list of improvements for The Witcher 3 (which can be found in full right here), CD Projekt Red has put in a lot of work on refining its wildly successful action-RPG. For starters, the first entry in the update’s notes mentions a book called “A Miraculous Guide to Gwent,” which is supposed to display the number of Gwent cards that are missing from players’ collections in the base game....

In a recent tweet, Hissrich revealed that she had just watched a cut of The Witcher, remarking that the show was definitely not for 5-year-olds. Hopefully, this mature approach to the show and its material is able to do justice to the lore-rich world belonging to Geralt of Rivia. And hopefully, this does much to squash the qualms that many are having with this show pre-launch. It’s worth mentioning that the show began production a few months back, and as expected, it does not yet have a solid launch date....

Perhaps the most confounding part of Broadway’s “The Graduate” is that writer-director Terry Johnson has completely misunderstood–or ignored–what made Mike Nichols’s movie a classic. The film explored two lost generations of the 1960s: young adults (like Dustin Hoffman’s Benjamin) disillusioned by their parents’ country-club lives, and middle-aged women (Anne Bancroft’s Mrs. Robinson) who had played by the rules and hated themselves for it. The play takes that dynamic–and the older woman/younger man affair that is its highly combustible byproduct–and turns it into a comic soap opera, complete with jokes about oral sex, hippie shrinks and outdated fashion....

Those who have yet to start playing the series should avoid reviews for the sake of spoilers, but we’ll do our best to remain vague, since the plot twists and turns are the backbone of this detective story. Even if Episode 3 doesn’t end with as startling a cliffhanger as the previous two, ‘A Crooked Mile’ packs more than a few startling revelations. But there is no question it possesses different DNA than players have come to expect....

Through these quests, the player comes to understand Geralt and his companions better, makes some hard choices, and lives with the consequences. Though there are many great quests during the main story, these could be considered the best. 10 The Final Trial Lambert isn’t the most likable of characters, but as one of the last witchers ever created and forced to live out a meager existence, fans can empathize....

A massive game full of tiny details, Wild Hunt running on Nintendo Switch at all is an impressive feat. The Complete Edition, including both popular expansions for the game, was the version of the game that arrived on the Switch platform last year. Recently, CD Projekt Red revealed expansion details and a release date for the first of two upcoming paid expansions known as “Hearts of Stone". The company’s Community Lead and Website Coordinator, Marcin Momot, laid out most of the particulars for The Witcher 3’s upcoming DLC, explaining that the content will have Geralt return to the town of Oxenfurt to tie up a contract for an enigmatic character known as The Man of Glass....

Yennefer is one of the leading female figures of The Witcher series. Despite being Geralt of Rivia’s true love, who he would do anything for, Yennefer is no damsel and can take care of herself just fine. Typically dressed in mage’s wear as black as her hair, Yennefer is as intimidating as she is a powerful sorceress, having helped Geralt on many of his quests. The game and Netflix series’ depictions of Yennefer do have their differences though, like the show’s depiction of the darker side of her personality....

Specifically, de Barra indicates that he pitched a scene for The Witcher Episode 4 wherein Geralt would have been swallowed by a monster known as a Selkie Maw. The White Wolf was then to cut himself free from the inside of the beast, only to be chased by “squirming baby Selkie Maws,” and while fans get a glimpse of the fallout of this confrontation in the episode, the battle itself is totally absent....
